Some more Gnomon yummyness for you all! Here is a 2nd tutorilal from the excellent concept designer and artist Nick Pugh (his first vid is in my torrents). In this one Nick works digitally on one of his previous designs, some really good tips and tricks in this though I found the way he picked colours for the 'monster' a little bit creepy!

"This demo shows the digital techniques Nick uses to render a creature that was previously created in the "Originality in Design" DVD. The lecture begins by stressing the importance of maintaining the design language established in the first phase, and follows this path through the realization of the creature in a color illustration. All the work is done in Adobe Photoshop. Over the course of this demo, Nick discusses topics such as composition, tangencies, use of photographic reference, color and mood, as well as image focus."
