“Action Packed” has both a step and a hi/low workout. Great choreography and packed with intensity and fun. They feature alternating aerobic/anaerobic intervals designed to build stamina and maximize fat-burning.
The step workout is mostly mixed impact with a little less choreography; it also includes some well-structured 32-count power moves. The hi/lo blends plyometrics and Mindy’s signature athletic foot routines with unusual arm patterns (so it’s not “dancy” but it is complex and interesting). Mindy’s energy level is always high and her motivation forceful (“just keep moving!”).
“Interval Express” features aerobic/anaerobic cardio intervals intermixed with short medicine ball toning segments. It’s a challenging, very intense workout — the ultra-fast-paced anaerobic sections are unusually long; the multiple-muscle group toning routines are non-stop (so your heart rate never drops and you’re always burning fat). Using your step both sideways and toward-the-TV, the cardio patterns range from mambos and hops to football drills and plyometrics. Unlike dumbbells, the medicine ball tones your muscles from all angles in unique ways (e.g. tossing it in the air, push-ups with one hand on the ball).
