Master Gu Dai-Juan, B.Ed., co-founder of Ji Hong Tai Chi College, was a highly respected Wushu Instructor at the Department of Physical Education at South China University. The winner of numerous competitions in Guangzhou and Guangdong Province, Master Gu was the gold medalist in Women's Traditional Chinise Taijiquan at the National Institute of Physical Education Invitational Tournament in 1984. That same year, she won the gold medal in Women's Traditional Taijiquan at the Wuhan International Taijiquan and Sword Competition. Since coming to Canada, Master Gu has dedicated herself to the training of a large number of students in Wushu and Taijiquan. Many of her students have been selected to join the Canadian National Wushu team and compete at the Pan American and World Wushu Championship. Master Gu is the co-author of the well-received book Taijiquan: An Evolutionary Perspective. Master Gu's teacher was Grand Master Luo Ji-Hong, a renowned and well-repected Taiji instructor and scholar in China.

Yang Style Taijiquan is characterized by graceful movements, which are open, relaxed and smooth. Phrases such as "soft as floating clouds" and "gentle as floating river" are often used when desribing the Yang style. Master Gu wonderfully expresses the true beauty of Yang Style Taiji in this elegant performance. Demonstrating each move with poise and ease, the form is as soothing as a summer breeze and as stirring as the roar of the ocean. The series of two instructional disks demonstrates the eighty-six movements of the Yang Style Taijiquan.
Master Gu's award-winning performance makes this set of DVDs a treasure for any student of Taijiquan.
Disk One demonstrates the entire form and includes a slide show demo illustrating angles and directions of movements.
Disk Two is a step-by-step instruction of each of the eighty-six movements plus the basic Yang style exercises. Two camera angles are utilized in the instruction.
