The actual moves are straight-forward and easy to follow. Gracefully building in intensity, they range from dancer-style pliés to martial arts kicks to athletic jogs and lunges. But it’s the mind-body emphasis that makes this program unique. Patricia Moreno’s passionate intensity infuses every movement with an energy and purpose (e.g. a stretched out hand means “desire” — the desire to be powerful). It ends with an equally mind-body-focused yoga stretch.
