Niet Vanzelfsprekend is the follow on course from Vanzelfsprekend which has been a popular basic method of Dutch for highly skilled adults for many years ( that course deals with the levels A1 and A2 of the Common European framework of Reference for Languages).

The method is suitable for both self-tuition and class use and is adjusted to all types of learning. Niet Vanzelfsprekend is available with both English and French as auxiliary languages. The language course Niet Vanzelfsprekend, originally published in 1996, has been completely updated and now presents a lively textbook, a workbook,DVDs and two CDs. TEXTBOOK AND WORKBOOK (available with both English and French as auxiliary languages) By means of short and lively units some 2,000 frequent words, the basic grammar and the most useful speech acts in Dutch are offered and mastered. Supported by the multimedia material and the brilliantly illustrated photocobiable pages NT2 (Dutch as a second language) and NVT (Dutch as a foreign language) lessons will be more enthralling than ever before.

The entertaining DVD-soap is at the centre of Niet Vanzelfsprekend. Each part starts with an episode in which new vocabulary, speech acts and grammar feature in a natural way. Students will also find 10 current commentaries on Flemish and Belgian society.
