Software for Marc, since 1971 been developing MARC Analysis Research Corporation, and since 1999 - MSC.Software Corporation, - the world leader in modeling nonlinear processes in mechanics, heat transfer, electro-and magneto-statics and dynamics, in acoustics.
Although MSC.Marc is a universal finite-element program, its use is particularly effective for in-depth analysis vysokonelineynogo behavior of structures and objectives of heat transfer. In addition to the opportunities and MSC.Dytran MSC.Nastran to solve nonlinear problems with MSC.Marc is possible to solve problems, the terms of which structures are subjected to large linear and angular displacements, the materials have nonlinear properties or properties that depend on the loading history, present complex contact interaction between the parts of the structure. Examples of such tasks are to analyze the behaviors of rubber seals, an analysis of construction (including hydraulic) structures, taking into account the soil properties, modeling of contact gears, etc.

Many special types of analysis in the medium MSC.Marc supports the full set of finite element formulations. The program provides for the possibility of user subroutines, which enable simulation of the behavior of products in special situations.
